Ryan Tubridy hit by trolls who edit Wikipedia page to say he hosts ‘live sex shows’ on RTE

RTE said it could not comment after trolls edited presenter Ryan Tubridy’s Wikipedia page.

The Late Late Show presenter has been targeted by pranksters who added their own “facts” to Ryan’s profile.

Claiming his nickname was horny b****x, they described him as “an Irish broadcaster, a presenter of live sex shows on radio and television in Ireland”.

Ryan has previously faced online trolls who targeted Late Late Show guests.

In March 2020, he defended actor Barry Keoghan after he appeared on the show that month.

The Dublin actor appeared on the show to talk about his new film Calm With Horses.

However, during his appearance, some viewers took to Twitter to troll the 27-year-old.

Speaking on his RTE Radio One show, Ryan Tubridy hit back at those who made nasty comments about the talented actor and said they needed to think about the consequences their words might have.

“Wicked people were out Friday night when we had Barry Keoghan and Niamh Algar [on the Late Late Show]’, explained Ryan.

‘Since I met [Barry], I fell completely in love with him because he is one of the good people in life. He went through a series of tough things in his life, but came out the other side with extraordinary class and star quality.

“He’s got a weird way about him when he comes on TV because he’s nervous and he’s got this way that’s just a little bit different.

“He came, did the interview and he was just gorgeous. Mean people, I don’t know if you’re one of those people who comments online about people like Barry or whatever, just know this — you think you’re going to be smart and you think you might be funny, but you are not.

“Actually, you’re cruel and mean, and you’re reductive, and you’re everything that we shouldn’t be as human beings. “
