Official Game of Thrones Facebook Page Says Jon Snow Is “The Prince That Was Promised”

game of thrones had a massive impact on the fantasy genre, starring in several myths and legends within its universe. Blood has been shed, kings have been crowned and prophecies have been made, all in the name of the one true king. However, not all of the prophecies came true, and fans scratched their heads for a long time trying to figure out what they meant (or if they even meant anything at all). HBO finally decided to put an end to one of the show’s most intriguing mysteries, namely who “The Prince Who Was Promised” really was.

Recently, the official Game of Thrones Facebook page posted an image of Jon Snow, assigning the designations he has held in the series. Lord Snow. 998th Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. King of the North. The Bastard of Winterfell. And… Wait for it… “The Prince Who Was Promised”.

Fans have long speculated who the promised prince or princess really was, and this post finally puts an end to all conspiracy theories about who he was supposed to be. It was prophesied on the show that the Promised Prince/Princess would play an important role in the final war, and be a messianic figure destined to save the world from the coming of the Others.

Do you think the statement meets all the criteria for prophecy? Tell us in the comments below!
