Although the death of Bishop Daniel Dolan has surfaced on social media, the cause of his death is not known. Neither his family nor his friends or colleagues have shared anything regarding his disappearance. So, it remains a mystery now. Since many people are looking for information on Daniel Dolan, here’s everything we’ve learned so far. Daniel Lytle Dolan was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 28, 1951.

In 1965, he enrolled in the Archbishop’s Minor Seminary of Detroit to study for the priesthood. Daniel then traveled to Eckone, Switzerland, to study at the Cistercian Order and at the Seminary of the Fraternity of Traditionalism of St. Pius X (SSPX). While a student at Econe Seminary in 1973, he came to the conclusion that Pope Paul VI was the “only logical explanation” for the New Mass and the alleged Vatican II heresy. He has maintained the position of sedevacantism ever since. SSPX Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre ordained Dolan a priest at Ecône on June 29, 1976.

Dolan returned to the United States in 1977, where he founded more than 35 traditionalist mass centers. The 1962 liturgical books are for American SSPX priests to follow, according to Lefebvre. Dolan and eight other priests from the United States rejected. These nine priests were fired from the SSPX on April 27, 1983, along with several sympathetic seminary students, for refusing to use the 1962 Mass and for other reasons, including disagreeing with Lefebvre’s instruction that SSPX priests accept faulty orders.

The decision of the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal disapproves of the SSPX’s strategy of admitting new members who would be admitted into the organization anyway. Fathers Dolan and Anthony Cekada left the SSPV in 1989. The sad news has now appeared on the internet and saddened many of its supporters. Our team also pays sincere tribute to him and offers its condolences to his family and friends. RIP Monsignor Daniel Dolan!
