Anthony Joshua’s Wikipedia Page Changed to Show Tyson Fury ‘Result’

Tyson Fury used a similar tactic when he took on Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, although it’s unclear if he’s behind the latest stunt as Eddie Hearn described “the next step” in organizing the fight.

A date, time and venue are yet to be determined for the biggest heavyweight clash in British boxing history – but Anthony Joshua has already lost his battle with Tyson Fury, that is if Wikipedia will make you believe.

It looks like the Gypsy King is up to his old tricks, or maybe rather, someone is imitating his previous work, before the unification showdown between the two rivals.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted an edit to Joshua’s wiki page on Thursday, listing a seventh-round knockout loss to Fury among his professional fight record.

Fury adopted a similar tactic ahead of his 2015 fight with Wladimir Klitschko, which he admitted about three years later.

“Yeah, that’s right, until I got banned from Wikipedia,” Fury said.

at the time. “I did it because I wanted to prove that because it’s a public site, anyone can write whatever they want on it.

“If you want to go ahead and edit my profile, you can.

“Have I edited mine? No, I never changed anything on mine. But because I’m the lineal champ, someone goes on and writes I’m retired, clearly I’m not retired.

“So I keep putting him back into active and someone else keeps changing him to retired. Someone obviously wants me to retire.

It’s unclear if Fury is behind the stunt on Joshua’s page, but it would be a clear attempt at mind games with a fight between them set to take place this year.

Fury might just be up to his old tricks like he did against Klitschko before

If it’s the WBC world heavyweight champion, he may have given some insight into the arrangements as the fight was scheduled to take place on July 10 at Wembley Stadium.

The finer details are yet to be determined, however, as Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed.

“At the end of this week, fighters and their teams will be presented with all the offers and options that are on the table, of which there will be several,” Hearn said.

“We’re in a good place. There will be about three or four offers presented to both sides this weekend, and then it’s up to them to discuss which ones they want to take, dates for those fights. The same applies, two fights this year.

“It’s a summer fight, it’s all we’re working towards and as confident as ever that it’s going to happen.

“I know there are negative people out there and people who don’t think we can do it, but we spend a lifetime succeeding and I believe we’ll get there and I believe you’ll see that fight this summer .”

He added: “The next step is basically to get everyone to agree to the place and the date and they will have several options to choose from. There is no other fight for Tyson Fury, there is no other fight for Anthony Joshua is the fight, everyone accepts it.”
